Black Pepper Strip Steaks

These delicious steaks require few ingredients.  Just make sure to use freshly

cracked pepper and these steaks will surely delight both you and your guests.

  • 6 New York strip steaks
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons/40 mL freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon/10 mL white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons/30 mL sea salt flakes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon/7.5 mL chili powder

InstructionsCombine black pepper, white pepper, sea salt flakes, and chili powder.  Apply a liberal amount of seasoning to both sides of steak.  Preheat grill for medium high heat.  Placesteaks onto grill and cook for 2 minutes, turn and cook for another 2 minutes.  Move steaks to cooler part of grill and cook indirectly for an additional 5-7 minutes, depending on thickness and desired doneness.  Once steaks have cooked through, remove from heat and place onto platter. Let rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.

  • Cook Time: 11 minutes
  • Total Time: 26 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 6
